My name is Joshua Crist, Owner, Editor and Director of Photography of Steelworks Films/Media brand. My interest and passion for cinematography came about while attending college for a degree in computer animation. While attending classes I was drawn more towards classes dealing with video/film production, at which point I changed my major to Video Production. Unfortunately, I did not have the resources to get a video camera, so I turned to still photography. I purchased my first film Canon AE-1 Program camera. Shortly thereafter, I joined the military and had the opportunity to travel to different parts of the country from Hawaii to Florida. I was able to travel to places I had never been so, I took the opportunity to expand on my photography skills. Currently, I am no longer in the Military and recently moved to the Cincinnati area. I made the decision to take what I have learned from still photographer and apply lessons learned to cinematography. I am working to build my network of people who like to produce high quality independent films.
